The North Carolina Research Administrators Alliance (NC RAA) provides a forum in which sponsored program research administrators throughout North Carolina can build and advance synergistic professional relationships. We support collaborative efforts, encourage personal and professional development, explore diverse issues unique to the North Carolina experience, and facilitate affordable education programs.

What type of professional development opportunities do you offer?

We offer a wide range of training opportunities for research administrators, in all career levels, by covering topics in basic and clinical research. Topics include pre and post award management, financial management, compliance and various professional development experiences. Each program is designed to equip research administrators with the necessary tools and practical skills for success.

How can I benefit from your networking opportunities?

Our networking opportunities provide a platform for meeting peers, mentors, and industry leaders which allows the exchange of experiences and best practices. These connections can lead to collaborative opportunities and career advancement.

How do I become a member?

NC RAA membership is open to any research administrator working for a non-profit or for-profit research-engaged organization (i.e., university, community college, local education agency, research lab, hospital, business, community or local government, etc.) within the State of North Carolina or any research administrator who resides in the State while working remotely for an entity in another state.  Membership is free, however, by attending a conference, you become a voting member for that annual cycle.
